Business IT support London — managed IT for SMEs and professional services
Pacific Infotech Group is best known for hospitality IT — but we have supported London businesses across professional services, legal, property, healthcare and more for over fifteen years. If you need a managed IT partner who knows your sector, responds fast and gives you direct access to senior engineers, we work with businesses outside hospitality too.

Operational realities
What most London businesses actually need from IT support
The requirements are more consistent across sectors than most IT providers admit — and most businesses are underserved on the same four things.
Microsoft 365 — the foundation of most businesses
The majority of London SMEs run on Microsoft 365. The difference between a well-configured M365 tenancy and a default one is significant — data loss prevention, backup, identity hardening, Teams governance, external sharing controls and email security all require deliberate configuration. Most businesses have M365 switched on but not set up. That gap is where most security incidents and compliance problems originate.
Cyber security — Cyber Essentials as a minimum
The NCSC's Cyber Essentials framework covers the five controls that prevent the majority of commodity cyber attacks: boundary firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patch management. Certification demonstrates to clients, insurers and regulators that you have a documented, assessed baseline. For many business sectors, it is now a contract requirement. If you don't have it, you are likely underprotected and increasingly uninsurable.
Backup that is actually tested
Most businesses have a backup. Very few businesses have a backup they have tested. A backup that has never been restored is not a recovery plan — it is an aspiration. We configure backup systems with documented RPO and RTO targets, test them on a schedule and provide evidence that the test succeeded. When the day comes that you need to use it, that evidence is what stands between you and a very bad week.
Managed support — IT without the headcount
A full-time IT manager for a 30-person business costs £45,000 to £60,000 per year and typically has one area of strength. A managed IT support contract covers the full stack — helpdesk, infrastructure, security monitoring, patching, vendor management — for considerably less. For most businesses under 150 people, managed IT support is the rational choice. The question is which provider actually understands your sector.
